In an interesting discussion over here, I’ve been discussing my beliefs on Christian morality in terms of Philosophical Ethics, with the help of friend and philosopher “bertie.” I’m “lukeprog” there. Warning: big, scary words like “Deontological” are used. Encouragement: the discussion may challenge your understanding of Christian morality in useful ways.

I started reading Secrets of the Koran by Don Richardson today, but I don’t know if I’ll finish. He’s very heavy handed and some of his points, even if they are correct, are sketchily argued. And, I feel like he’s shouting all the time. However, the forward by an ex-radical Muslim (now Christian) is thought-provoking, and Richardson’s case for Islam as a violent religion at its core may be correct.
